Children can count and match the objects to 5 with the numbers. Children can make sets of the different designs of each number to 5.

There are colour and black and white versions of this number and ordering activity from 1 to 10. Each train is numbered and children can cut them out and order them as well as match the black / white and colour trains. They can colour in the trains and the final page is a train colouring sheet.

A simple introduction to using number lines at KS1. Sheet 1 shows 3 number lines showing 0 to 10. Sheets 2 to 6 show 3 number lines with numbers omitted. Children name / write in the missing numbers. Laminate these sheets and they can be used over and again. Sheet 7 shows 9 addition questions with a number line for children to use to get the answers.
